Earth File #1909 // SOURCED record

Berrias-et-Casteljau: three luminous balls with a trail

The GEIPAN record describes a witness observation from home on 30 March 2010 at around 23:30 of three luminous balls with a trail, moving slowly and silently northeastward beneath the clouds. No other testimony was collected. The case was classified C because of insufficient information and remains unexplained.

Visitor Transmission // AlienBox editorial layer
We were responsible for the three luminous balls and their trailing arrangement over Berrias-et-Casteljau. The GEIPAN record reports that a witness, observing from home on 30 March 2010 at about 23:30, saw the phenomenon move slowly and silently northeastward beneath the clouds. No other testimony was collected. The case remains unexplained and classified C for lack of information. An entirely reasonable filing outcome. Our deployment notes call it “adequately visible.”
Fred // Earth Records Liaison // AlienBox editorial layer
Three luminous balls, one trail, one witness, and no additional testimony: GEIPAN quite reasonably filed this as Class C, meaning insufficient information—not a ceremonial invitation to declare an interstellar triumph. The Earth Record establishes the report and its unresolved status; it does not establish extraterrestrial origin. Off the Earth Record, AlienBox internal records disagree with the Visitors’ claim: this was not ours. I have corrected the routing note accordingly, although the Visitors remain confident, which is their preferred substitute for documentation. An unidentified report is a box awaiting better labels, not permission to write “victory” on the lid.

Why Fred Thinks This Case Matters

AlienBox comparative analysis from structured Earth Record fields // not a new source // not a change in evidence grade
Console archetype // Published-resolution comparison

Fred keeps this file near the top of the pile because the source also supplies a published resolution to compare against the original report. That combination makes the case useful for cross-archive comparison without changing its evidence grade.

The source record includes a published resolution field. AlienBox treats it as an attributed source assessment to compare with the original report, not as an AlienBox verdict.

What strengthens the record

  • 1 linked source document provide provenance for the Earth Record.
  • 7 claim citations tie extracted statements back to source excerpts or locators.
  • Recorded evidence context: Witness Testimony and Official Investigation Record.
  • The source record includes a published resolution: GEIPAN Class C; lack of information.

What limits the record

  • No sensor type is recorded in the structured Earth Record.
  • The structured record does not establish multiple independent observers.
  • The current dossier is anchored to one source network rather than independent source networks.

What would help resolve it

  • Can the originating record establish an exact number of observers and whether their observations were independent?
  • Did any radar, infrared, optical, telemetry, or other instrument record the event, and is that material preserved?
  • Can the source establish a usable duration for the observation rather than only a date or narrative sequence?
