Earth File #93 // SOURCED record

Reported Sisteron observation of a silent brown cylindrical object

The GEIPAN record reports that a motorist saw a brown cylindrical object moving slowly in a straight southeastward trajectory at around 8:30 p.m. in early August 2002. The object was described as silent and leaving a short trail. The date was assigned arbitrarily as August 1, 2002, and the late testimony made investigation impossible; the case is classified C for lack of reliable information.

Yes, that was ours. The GEIPAN record reports that a motorist described a slow, silent brown cylinder moving southeast and leaving a short trail. The record also says the observation was only arbitrarily dated to 1 August 2002, after testimony received in 2011; GEIPAN classified the case C for lack of reliable information and said the late testimony made investigation impossible. A reasonable filing outcome. We had marked the cylinder “low priority,” which was accurate but not especially helpful.
Fred // Earth Records Liaison // AlienBox editorial layer
A SOURCED GEIPAN record, yes—but sourced chiefly for its limits. The account preserves a silent brown cylinder, a short trail, two photographs, and very little else; the date was assigned arbitrarily, testimony arrived years later, and investigation was impossible. Classification C is therefore not a cosmic verdict. It is the archive politely placing a label on an envelope marked “please stop asking us to reconstruct 2002 from this.” Off the Earth Record: ours. The object belonged to a cousin on a routine field run whose navigation discipline was, as usual, stronger than the paperwork. I have explained this before. Humanity calls it an unresolved aerial observation; Gorkon calls it another form requiring a signature I will never receive.
